IUGA wants you to be our “First Year Student Representative”
- Facilitate communication between IUGA officers and first year students.
- Carry out duties as assigned by fellow officers
- Assist the Director of Public Relations in promoting the Informatics program and/or employment opportunities.

Submit your personal statement (a paragraph or two) about why you should be elected for this position by Wednesday October 22nd midnight to iuga@u.washington.edu

IUGA is hosting a contest for a sweet graphic design that will be put on hoodies we’ll be selling later this year. The theme (surprisingly) is the Informatics, so be creative! Email all submissions to iuga@u.washington.edu by November 14th at midnight.

Please note you don’t have to be an iMajor to apply, but make sure to use no more than 3 colors in your design. After collecting all of the submissions, we’ll create a survey so everybody can vote on the best design. The winner will receive a free hoodie featuring his/her design.

IUGA is kicking off the new school year with a LAN party!

When: Friday, September 26th from 7pm-3am
Where: Mary Gates Hall 4th floor
Games: Counter Srike, Starcraft, Team Fortress 2, Worms, Call of Duty 4, Rock Band, Halo 3, and more.
Cost: $5 if you pre-register or $7 at the door

Pizza and soda will be provided, so please pre-register by September 22nd. Be sure to include your name and the number of people you’re bringing. Everybody is welcome, so feel free to bring your friends!
